The Swansea AMs - Andrew Davies, Edwina Hart and Val Lloyd - attended to hear about the Trust's recent progress. They have  been involved in the project from the outset and their support is greatly appreciated.  The fact that they all  attended the first Board meeting has given the project a huge boost, as we know  there are many demands on their time.

Jeff Joseph (Chair) and John Davies (Project Manager) address the meeting

We are very pleased to announce that Val Lloyd has agreed to join the Trust Board. Val has a pivotal role as Assembly Member for Swansea East, as her constituency includes much of the River. She is Chair of the 'All Party Group on Waterways' at the Welsh Assembly Government. This brings together waterways interests from all over Wales - and the meetings greatly influenced the development of Swansea Community Boat. Having Val on the Trust Board will be a major asset.

Swansea Councillors Sylvia Lewis and Bob Lloyd have also joined the management committee.  They are very experienced councillors with a great deal to offer the project.

Several other Swansea Councillors were unable to attend due to prior commitments - Councillors Gerald Clement, Robert Francis Davies, Erika Kirchner and Rob Speht, but the Trust is delighted that they have all expressed support for the Swansea Community Boat project.
